The Feast of Maximum Occupancy

'Good disciple of Buddha, the source of mind is still; the ocean of Dharma is profound. Those who realize this are liberated immediately'.
These words jumped out at me when I was going over the tokudo ceremony on Friday - the title of the post comes from somewhere else; bonus points if you know where. It was a big and joyful day. Rather than go on about what happened, apart from the fact that the 150 people who Daigan said would be there all showed up, we'll just move on to the photos. I enjoyed having my ringside seat to all the action, and was glad to be part of such an occasion in the community:

What happened was that the Ino did a flawless job so that no one saw anything but the beauty of the dharma. I am so grateful for your support and love and friendship. And I look forward to our "project".

Great photos; thanks. (Now Paul's having mentioned the Sisters in his talk earlier makes even more sense.) Looks like a marvelous afternoon.

The Sisters definitely added to the festivities.

As Daigan already knows, I wish I had been there, and the photos only add to that backward-looking longing. But I was there in the dharma. Thank you for the photos and for seeing it through.

Well we missed you. Sorry you couldnt make it.

Love the pics, wonderful. But who are all these people? There's no ID on any of the pics. Paul Haller I recognize, but I don't know the others. Help?

DonkeyBuster, Sorry, that was pure laziness on my part. I thought about captioning each one, and then didn't. There is Paul, and Daigan, obviously, and Blanche is the one talking to him in the last indoor picture, after she got out of hospital in time to attend, then Michael Wenger and Jordan were the other preceptors at the ceremony, then there is Blanche and Daigan's mum, and then the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence - I don't know all their names...

Dear Shundo,

Thank you for orchestrating such a beautiful day -- as long as I live, it will stand out as extraordinary!

Thank you for the photos, too!
